Year 8 Cycling
Our Year 8 pupils attended the Dorset School Games Cycling Event hosted by British Cycling at Moors Valley. In an exciting afternoon our pupils cycled in races along the picturesque woodlands at Moors Valley. All pupils enjoyed themselves and worked extremely hard. They kept going throughout the whole afternoon and did not let the muddy corners affect their performance. Excellent work Year 8’s.
Year 8 Mixed Volleyball
Our Year 8 pupils went to LEAF for the Wessex Volleyball Competition, which was a fantastic success. We entered 3 mixed teams and every team had victories throughout the day. The pleasing aspect was that all the pupils improved as the day as progressed and it was noticeable in their game play. One team even made it to the ‘Bowl’ Final, which was the final for the teams that finished second in their 6 team group and narrowly lost 21-20! We even had the chance to meet Chris Gregory, a Great Britain international volleyball player. Hopefully some of the pupils that participated or any other pupils may decide to take volleyball up out of school as Wessex Volleyball are one of the best clubs in the country.
