Year 5 and 6 Girls Kwik Cricket
I am delighted to announce that our Year 5&6 Girls qualified for the county finals at Bryanston after 3 wins in the East Dorset Competition. We beat Lockers, West Moors and Emmanuel and produced some strong performances. Emelia kept wicket with assured confidence, whereas Hannah and Natasha captained the team with commitment. Erin and Maddy were fantastic with accurate bowling and smooth batting. Charlotte and Hannah batted with enthusiasm and Makayla made the catch of the day. Excellent work girls and remember to train hard for the finals!

Year 8 Rounders
On Wednesday our year 8 girl’s rounder team competed against Twynham in the league. A solid fielding performance limited the opposition to just one rounder. Each of our players showed impeccable focus and team spirit to ensure no fielding errors were made. The girls then went on to score achieve a total of 3.5 rounders , sealing another convincing league win. Well done to the team on another tremendous performance.

Year 5 and 6 Athletics

June Sports Report 17.06.16 2On Friday our year 5 and 6 athletics teams competed in the Ward Goodman East Dorset Athletics Championships organised by our very own Mrs Turner. 22 children from Ferndown Middle competed in the various track and field events. Each and every individual showed true determination and outstanding commitment to the team, with some students even competing in events outside of their area of expertise. Overall, our year 5 team came 7th whilst our year 6 team came 3rd. Special mentions must go to Aimee, Hannah, Harrison and our relay teams for placing first in their events. Well done! A huge thank you must go to our year 8 sports leaders Olivia, Dominic, Jamie-Lee and Jenna who offered tremendous support to our athletes, as well as Mrs Holness who kindly accompanied us, offering wonderful support throughout the day. Well done to everyone involved!
