Year 6 Boys Football v St Michaels and Allenbourn
We hosted St Michaels and Allenbourn in a triangular fixture where all teams played each other. We drew 1-1 against St Michaels and Harley scored a great goal thanks to a super through ball from Todd. We lost a tight match 1-0 against Allenbourn.  Taylor made some brave saves in goal throughout the afternoon and Finn was excellent in midfield making calm passes and Aidan worked tirelessly for the team.

Year 7 Boys Football
Our Year 7 boys progressed through in the National Cup against Stonar School from Bath. We played some excellent football from the kick off and scored some excellent goals. Well played lads and we thank our opponents for making the long journey to Ferndown on a Friday afternoon.

Year 7&8 Girls PEDSSA Football Cup v Cranborne
Our girls produced yet another magnificent performance against Cranborne where we won 7-0. The first half we raced into a 4 goal lead with 2 goals from Hannah, one each from both of our Tegans.  Actually the half time score did not reflect the match as Cranborne were very competitive and Faye made some great saves. In the second half we were faster to the ball and that resulted in some excellent play. Hannah was putting her body on the line and every 5 minutes seemed to be being picked up from another bruising challenge and Tegan scored a second to go head to head for another hat trick race with Hannah. This time Tegan got it and for that I will forgive her for volleying the ball against my face in the first half! Molly scored a late goal too and I must congratulate the girls for their strong defensive play and some superb passing.

Year 7&8 Swimming Gala at QE
The pupils enjoyed an excellent afternoons swimming at QE where we competed against Lytchett, Allenbourn and St Michaels. The pupils produced some excellent races and in particular the last relay where we slowly clawed our way from 4th to first with some excellent work from Hayden. All pupils produced such strong performances and the delight on the pupils faces was evident at the end of the gala. Over all we finished second and needed to win the last race to achieve that, which we managed to do. Excellent work swimmers!

Year 7 Boys PEDSSA Quarter Final away v Lytchett
We had an extremely difficult Quarter Final away on the 3G surface at Lytchett and found ourselves 1-0 down early on. In fact the boys took time to settle and could have been more down if it were not for Harry in goal. However we soon got in our stride and Tyler finished calmly from a neat through ball. This eased us and we started playing with assured confidence and Tyler chased the goalkeeper down and slotted in a second just before half time. We continued with this form and Tyler soon scored his hat trick and Jude popped up with one in the end to give us a deserved 4-1 victory and a semi-final place.

Year 6 Indoor Athletics
On Tuesday a group of year 6 students proudly represented FMS at the QUAD Kids Indoor Athletics Event. Both boys and girls competed in running, throwing and jumping events against other schools within Dorset. This team event saw individuals competing for points that were added to their overall team’s total. Each of the 15 students involved were magnificent on the day, competing with a smile on their faces and a can do attitude. Well done to each and every one of you!
