East Dorset Year 6 Girls Kwik Cricket Competition
Our girls participated fantastically well in this competition and played three excellent matches in the sun at St Michaels. We lost our first two matches to St Michaels and Allenbourn. However in these matches we batted excellently and just needed to concentrate on our bowling accuracy. It all came together in the final match where we beat West Moors. I must congratulate all pupils but special praise goes to Maddy and Erin who provided impetus in their batting and commitment in their running between the wickets where they invariably ran fours all the time. Brilliant effort girls.

East Dorset Year 6 Boys Kwik Cricket Competition

Our boys showed fantastic determination to take part in three matches in the blistering sun at St Michaels. We lost narrowly to St Michaels and Allenbourn but managed to beat West Moors in our final match. We actually bowled fantastically well all afternoon and did not get the rewards we deserved. It was an absolute pleasure to take such a positive group of lads who represented the school in the correct spirit.

Ferndown Upper School Festival of Sport (FUSFOS)

I am delighted that all of our Year 7 pupils had the opportunity to take part in a morning of sports at Ferndown Upper School.  All pupils were divided into a variety of teams and participated in table tennis, rounders, volleyball, handball, football, basketball and training in the fitness suite. It was a pleasure to be invited and it was satisfying to see so many ex pupils leading the events. Finally all pupils competed in the spirit we as a PE Department expect and congratulations on their efforts in such hot conditions.

East Dorset Primary Tennis Competition

Sixteen Year 8 pupils officiated this event at Ferndown Tennis Club and showed maturity, responsibility and assurance in this fantastic event. The pupils conducted themselves with professionalism and hopefully had an insight into the responsibility a PE Teacher has in officiating such events. This leadership is paramount to their development as a young person and I urge them to draw on this experience in their future.
