Can Do Festival
Well done to the group of year 5 and 6 students who took part in the Can Do Festival on the  12th June at Rockley Park. They had the opportunity to try out sailing and kayaking as well as completing a selection of races against other schools. They were all very brave considering for many it was their first time taking part in these sports and they worked excellently as a team. Each student finished the day receiving 2 certificates, brilliant work everyone!

FUS Festival of Sport
On Wednesday a group of 44 year 7 students took part in the Ferndown Upper School Festival of Sport. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to meet the staff and students at the Upper School as well as use their superb facilities. The event was organised and run by a group of year 9, 12 and 13 students as part of their A Level PE assessment. Our year 7’s were given the opportunity to participate in Rounders, Softabll, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis and Badminton. We would like to say a huge thank you to FUS for making us feel so welcome and for organising such an enjoyable and inclusive event.

Year 6 QuadKids
Well done to the group of year 6 students who competed in the Quad Kids Athletics event at Ferndown Upper School on the 13th June. The students competed in a range of athletics events against 6 other schools. They consistently worked as a team supporting each other in the events that they were less confident in, finishing 6th overall.

Girls Cricket
Congratulations to the group of girls who competed in the Kwik Cricket Tournament at St. Michaels Middle School on the 14th June. The girls worked fantastically as a team and won 3 out of 4 games, finishing in 2nd place. The girls made it through to the County final which will be held at Bryanstone School on Friday 22nd June.

Boys Cricket
A massive congratulations to the 10 year six boys who made it to the Kwik Cricket County Final at Bryanstone School on the 15th of June. The boys have consistently played excellently and to get to the County Final was an achievement itself. However, they didn’t stop there, they continued to fight and won 2 out of 4 games, finishing 9th out of the 100 schools that competed in the county.
