Year 5 Boys Football
Our Year 5 boys had their first football competition and they matched their excitement levels with some fantastic performances. We had 21 boys playing so we had the Orange and Red teams participating against Lockyers, Cranborne, St Michaels, Emmanuel and Allenbourn. Both teams had many goals and victories to satisfy them for an excellent afternoons competition. I am delighted to say the Red team finished 2nd and the Orange team finished 3rd. This bodes well for future matches with such a strong squad. Well played lads, you really should be proud of your first experience of representing FMS!

Year 6 Boys Football
Our Year 6 Boys entered the AFC Bournemouth 6 aside Schools Cup, where the winner gets to represent AFC Bournemouth at Goodison Park in the Premier League Schools Cup. We had an excellent day where we won three matches, particularly our semi-final was impressive winning 3-0 . We unfortunately lost in the final 1-0 to Christchurch Primary after extra time. Fantastic effort lads.

Year 7 and 8 Girls Football
In extremely cold conditions our girls played admirably in their 7 matches. We won one, drew four and lost two. It was pleasing to see the girls pass and control the ball and attack with pace and vigour under such difficult circumstances. I am sure another day those draws would have been victories.

Year 8 Boys
Our Year 8 boys kept up their winning ways by beating Broadstone 8-4 in their PEDSSA Quarter Final. Dominic scored an amazing 5 goals to help us become victorious.

On Wednesday 2nd March, a team of Year 5 and 6 pupils went to Allenbourne Middle School for an exciting netball tournament. We played five matches in total, winning two and losing three. All of us enjoyed taking part in the tournament, it was a windy day but that didn’t stop us, we still tried our best and had a great time.

Year 8 Girls Football
The Year 8 Girls produced a confident display beating Lockyers 3-0 with goals from Olivia (2) and Jamie-Lee. It was really pleasing to see the girls dominate for large periods of the game and create numerous opportunities to score.

Year 8 Girls Football
We played Broadstone in a match that produced drama that could only be rivalled in the Champions League. We started slowly and quickly went 1-0 down but sprung into life with a superb turn and finish from Charlotte to level the scores. Unfortunately we fell 3-1 down quickly after half time and this continued until 5 minutes to go. We found our energy and desire to score 3 quick goals from Charlotte, Grace and Abbie to go 4-3 up. Unfortunately the excitement got the better of us and the match finished 4-4. This meant the dreaded penalty shootout and we lost this 3-2. It was such a shame to lose in this way but the excitement, passion and determination to come back told me everything I needed to know about the progress of the girls. Well played!
