On Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th June, Ferndown Middle School once again joined forces with Hartley’s Events Ltd to take part in the Chocolatier’s Apprentice. Mr Hartley came into school to work exclusively with our Year 8 pupils, who had a hands-on experience working as chocolatiers and learned the arts of chocolate making. All pupils took their creations home, and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Our pupils have then spent time in English lessons creating their own chocolate products, which has included working on the marketing and sales pitch for their team’s creation. These will shortly be judged by Mr Hartley, and the two winning teams will receive their fantastic prizes before the end of term. Our heartfelt thanks again to Mr Hartley and Hartleys Events Ltd, for providing such a wonderful experience. Perhaps it will have inspired chefs of the future?
