Christmas Jumpers Bring Autumn Term to an End

Posted on 16/12/2016

The Christmas holidays are here and what better way to say farewell than once again donning our Christmas jumpers to raise money for those in greater need than ours. It has been wonderful to see the importance of community in action this term, not just around this festive season but throughout the term, whether it be singing in our local care home or laying a wreath on Remembrance Day.

Once again it has been a successful and enjoyable term. The year 5 pupils, together with new pupils in other year groups, have settled well into the life and ethos of our school. The pupils have worked incredibly hard and the work produced in lessons has been impressive.

There have been many events beyond the lesson time including; sporting events, concerts, compliments week, PSHCE theatre events and many more. All of these have excited and engaged the pupils in their learning. In our final assembly of the year we celebrated many of these events as well as personal and corporate extra-curricular achievements from the term. One of our fondest end of term traditions is our end of term video that reminds us of how much we have got done in such a small amount of time.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank parents, carers, staff, governors and other members of the local community, for their continued support for Ferndown Middle School.

I look forward to working together to continue to provide the best for your child.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Mrs Allen
