Under 11 Girls Indoor Cricket
In the Under 11 Girls Indoor Cricket County match we hosted Talbot for a place in the County Final. It was a triangular competition where we had two teams representing our school. I was delighted with our play in all of the matches. Maddy was confident running between the wickets; Erin bowled superbly with fantastic accuracy and Molly was energetic in all matches with her decisive batting. All teams won one match each and it went to runs scored where we won overall. All girls have shown with dedication, commitment and focus that they have the ability to succeed. Good luck in the County Finals!
Year 6 Netball
On Thursday our year 6 netball team competed in the PEDSSAA High 5 Netball Tournament. The girls competed magnificently against 7 others schools. The rules of high 5 required all players to rotate positions at the end of each half, with all girls playing all five positions at some point. This was a challenge that our entire team rose to and they were a credit to our school, encouraging one another and playing with a smile on their faces. A fantastic afternoon of netball, well done girls!
Year 8 Girls Football
We played Allenbourn and produced a superb all round team performance where we won convincingly. Goals from Hannah, Tegan, Molly, Chloe and Sydney meant we converted the vast amount of chances that we created. It was pleasing to see the progress of the girls from the start of the season where we are now striding out with confidence and ready to attack matches. All girls contribute to this team effort, especially our solid defenders and midfielders. Great win girls and keep up the strong and skillful play!
