Finals Update
Congratulations to three of our football for teams for reaching finals in their respective competitions. The Year 6 Boys are in the County Cup Final; our Year 7 Boys are in the PEDSSA Cup Final and our Year 7&8 Girls are also in the PEDSSA Cup Final.  The football season started back in September and this is a massive achievement in itself and fingers crossed we can bring back some silverwear, we certainly will be trying our best. Good luck to all involved!

 Year 8 Girls Football
Our girls had a tough match against St Michaels in the semi-final of the PEDSSA Cup. We started slowly and it was evident our opponents were going to be a force to be reckoned with through their solid defending. We fell behind to a goal and were struggling to get into the match. However we started to attack more fluently and soon got our reward from a goal straight from Tegan’s corner just before half time. Just after half time we conceded a second after a superb save from Faye. Again we were struggling to score but we were creating more opportunities. A great link up from Faye, Sydney and Hannah resulted in Hannah scoring an excellent equaliser to set up an exciting final ten minutes. Jenny and Teagan were working fiercely and soon got a great third goal through Sydney after an accurate pass from Jenny. We had to defend solidly and Faye, Izzy and Lilli were courageous in their dedication for the team. We eventually won 3-2 and the girls thoroughly deserve their place in the final.

Year 7 Boys National Cup Round of 16 v Bedales School, Havant
Our boys continued their great form with a convincing victory against our visitors from Havant. Wes put us 1-0 up in the first half and we played some great football but the score remained the same at half time. In the second half Edison added fire into our play where he finished off a neat one-two in the bottom corner. Quickly after Alfie and Jude scored and we certainly were playing with authority. We finished up with Connor scoring a deserved goal to make it 5-0 and a Quarter Final to look forward to.

School Games 2017 Gala
On the 29th March we took a small group of children to the School Games 2017 Gala at Canford School. The children were very excited and determined to do their best. It was a very enjoyable event. Everyone performed to their best, with excellent behaviour and attitude.

Special congratulations to Kaysea won the Silver Medal in her One Width of Backstroke.

Year 6 Girls Quick Cricket
In the County Finals our girls competed extremely well against our fellow winners of their regional qualifiers. We took our time to get into our stride and lost our first three matches, albeit by small margins in all matches. We were bowling, fielding and batting well in stages but just could not combine all three elements into one single match. In our final match we managed to achieve this to gain a victory. All girls were a credit to our school because they pushed themselves to the limits and kept going and you certainly cannot ask anymore from anyone in a sporting situation. We certainly are proud of our 4th place position in the whole county.
