School council have been very busy this week. Open evening was very successful, with many prospective pupils and their parents visiting and enjoying the games and tasks that the teachers had set out. I have a feeling that the next Year 5 will be a big one!
During our packed school council meeting this week, we compiled a list of what the tutor groups thought were the main issues that the school could improve on, and of that list, chose the 4 main things school council will try to resolve.
The games shed is now open for business and anyone who wants to use it can buy one of the cards from the office, only £1 for a whole year. The games shed, for those who don’t know, is a shed run by school council that children during lunchtime. It allows children to borrow games to play with such as skittles, large connect 4, diablos etc.
On an exciting end-note, the executive committee, leading teachers and some Year 7 councillors will be going to Kingston Maurward for a day training with the school councils of other schools to increase our experience and to have an opportunity to meet school councillors from other schools . I, for one, am very happy at the idea of meeting other school councillors and seeing what they do in their school.
Have a great week!
