This terms Bake off, asked the students to design and make a Christmas cake. Many students entered their designs, the standard was very high and from these designs we chose 7 finalists. The finalists received a master class in icing from Mrs Clark and then went on to ice their Christmas cakes and add figures and scenes using sugar paste.
The cakes produced were very imaginative and it was very hard to choose a winner. You will have to wait until the end of term assembly to find out who scooped the win, but rest assured it was perfectly sculpted in every way. Ruby’s hat on her snowman was really well made. Jasmine had some lovely ideas and additional ingredients. Millie’s snowman was a picture of perfection. Erin and Ellie produced lovely scenes. Charlotte produced some realistic presents. We particularly liked Thomas’s design for the different layers of colour. Well done to all finalists.
Have a great Christmas and keep cooking.
