Inter Form Sports
The end of a busy sporting week saw all children take part in our termly inter form sports competition. Children represented and supported their tutor group playing either netball or football. The weather was kind until the afternoon with year 6’s taking their competition inside after a heavy downpour. A big thank you to all the children for how well they represented their class and showed a true Ferndown spirit.

Year 8 Girls – Spectacular Girls Secure League Victory
We hosted Cranborne in the Year 8 Girls Football League and after a close start we managed to lead 1-0 at half time thanks to a superb free kick from Laura. We continued our momentum in the second half and Charlotte managed to copy what David Beckham did all those years ago with a goal from the half way line, but this time it was on the full volley. Believe it or not she nearly repeated this, but this time the ball bounced onto the cross bar. Olivia scored at the very end with a tidy finish and our girls were delighted with their victory.

Year 7 Boys Football
Our Year 7 Boys played St Michaels and narrowly lost 2-0. The boys played extremely well and implemented some fantastic passing to create numerous opportunities that on another day would have resulted in us scoring enough goals to win the match. An excellent first game of the season for Charlie and Connor danced through their defence upfront to create numerous opportunities.

Year 6 Boys Maintain Winning Ways
Our boys kept up their winning ways in the PEDSSA 9 aside league where we beat West Moors 3-0 thanks to a fantastic second half hat trick from Connor.  We managed to keep possession in the second half to create some super opportunities that tested their keeper. Well played lads.

Year 8 Boys Suffer Narrow Defeat at Highcliffe
Our Year 8 boys played Highcliffe in the Quarter Finals of the Dorset County Cup. In windy conditions we battled hard. Two goals from Dominic and some great saves from Aidan were not enough to prevent a 4-2 defeat.

Year 6 Boys Narrowly Miss County Final
Our lads played in the Dorset County Finals at Littledown and produced some great play during the day.  The highlights were beating the finalists, Christchurch Junior 2-1 and coming back from 2-0 to draw with the eventual winners, St Katherine’s. We missed out on the semi-finals by one goal but congratulations to the boys for reaching the finals.
