At Ferndown Middle school we value our pupils’ ideas and opinions. It is the role of our school council which allows this to happen. Each tutor group elects one representative for their class. The chosen representative has the responsibility to regularly attend meetings, where they will have the opportunity to share class suggestions on how the school can be improved.
Meetings are organised and run by the executive committee which consists of a chair, vice-chair and secretaries. The role of the executive committee is to discuss the issues that pupils have raised during meetings and decide what actions they need to take to solve them. The school council also participate in many events throughout the year such as opening evening, tours of the school, interviews and fairs.
