Our Year 7 boys played St Michael’s Middle in the first sports fixture of the year in what proved to be a ‘Friday Night Thriller.’
We had 20 lads representing Ferndown Middle and all behaved fantastically. We started well with some fantastic passing and Frankie scored a great goal to put us 1-0 up. St Michael’s Middle School’s goalkeeper made some brave saves and we could easily have added more goals before half time.
In the second half, ten more lads represented Ferndown Middle and it certainly was an end-to-end match up. Ivan scored a hat trick, including a thirty yard volley that looped in the top corner. St Michael’s themselves scored 4 goals and the match ended up 4-4.
Congratulations to both teams and we wish St Michael’s Middle a good season.
