TEACHING ASSISTANT

Contract type:   Fixed Term, term-time only

Pay range:        Dorset Grade 5

Contract term:   April 2019 to 31 August 2020

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs to commence as soon as possible.

This is a fixed term contract from April 2019 to 31 August 2020, 38 weeks per year – term time only.

The hours of work are 30 hours and 35 mins per week (term time only) to be worked across Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.20pm.

This is a Dorset Grade 5 post, £9.55 per hour.

MIDDAY SUPERVISOR

Contract type:   Permanent, term-time only

Pay range:          Dorset Grade 1

We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our friendly team to support the children for the lunchtime period during term time only.

We are looking for a Midday Supervisor to support the children whilst eating their lunch. Duties include setting up the school hall with tables and chairs, supervising the children during their break, both in the hall and on the playground, and clearing the hall after lunch. There is manual handling involved in setting up and clearing away the hall.

  • 8 hours per week (38 weeks per year – term time only)
  • Monday to Friday 12.00pm to 1.36pm
  • Dorset Grade 1 (£9.00 per hour)

CASUAL MINIBUS DRIVER(S) REQUIRED

School term time only

Salary: Grade 4 (£9.36/hr) from 1st April 2019

A pool of minibus drivers, with category D1 on their licence, are required to drive hired minibuses to and from sporting fixtures and occasional other events for Ferndown Middle School.  On most occasions this will happen in the afternoon and will entail driving to another school.  There will, however, be times when an earlier start and/or a later finish are required.

In common with all the school’s staff, drivers will be expected to undertake a basic proficiency test.

There will be no major maintenance issues associated with the post, although drivers are expected to alert the school to safety and other concerns.

The ideal candidate must hold a clean, valid driver’s licence with PCV (passenger carrying vehicle) entitlement (D or D1).

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
