Teaching Assistant

Contract type: Fixed term, one year contract

September 2022 – August 2023

Pay range: Level 1: Grade C, £9.79 – £9.99 per hour

Level 2: Grade D, £10.19 to £10.39  per hour

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week

To be worked across Monday to Friday

38 weeks per year, term time only

Start date: As soon as possible

 

We are seeking to appoint committed and enthusiastic Level 1 or Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support children with additional needs to commence in September.  Experience of the following would be beneficial for the Level 2 Teaching Assistants – Speech and language and communication difficulties, ASD, ADHD and ODD (oppositional defiance disorder) and general learning difficulties.

The postholders will play an important role in supervising the activities of pupils during the teaching period and lunch & break time duty within the school, including both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe environment is maintained at all times. Experience of working with children in an education setting is preferred.

The successful applicant must be able to work as part of a team to support the learning and welfare of pupils in school.

ICT Technician Level 2

Contract type: Permanent
Pay range: Grade E, SP 7 – 11

Depending on experience

8.30 – 4.30 (1 hour lunch)

We are seeking to appoint a Level 2 ICT Technician to support the Senior IT Systems Technician and provide ICT support within the school. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a network of computers, installing operating systems, including assigning and managing user accounts, installing and uninstalling software and hardware.

This opportunity will ideally suit someone who has some previous experience. This is a busy post and will require someone who is well organised, flexible and able to work under pressure and to deadlines.

We are looking for someone with the following knowledge and skills

  • A background in ICT and sound knowledge of the field, together with good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge to solve problems and determine priorities is essential
  • The post holder should have a wide knowledge of hardware/software systems and applications
  • Must be able to work as part of a team to support both staff and pupils
  • Can assist staff and students to ensure the effective use of ICT throughout the school

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and committed person to join our busy cleaning team who are responsible for the cleaning of the school premises each day.

The successful candidate will

  • Carry out the cleaning of the interior of the school to an agreed standard under the direction of the Caretaker.
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and general hygiene of the school premises.

Minibus Driver

We are seeking to appoint minibus drivers yo drive to and from sporting fixtures and occasional other events for Ferndown Middle School.  On most occasions, this will happen in the afternoon and will entail driving to another school.  There will, however, be times when an earlier start and/or a later finish are required.

To drive a hired minibus in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of the passengers, other road users, members of the public and yourself at all times.

Casual, term time only contract.

£9.79 – £9.99 per hour depending on experience.
