It is remarkable to think that we are already at the end of another action packed year. There has been so much going on that it would be impossible mention everything. Instead it is perhaps more appropriate to thank you all for hard work and dedication you have shown to us as a school. To the children, you have given everything you can, worked tirelessness, listened attentively and demonstrated qualities that will serve you for the rest of your lives. To our parents and carers, thank for all your support at home, completing homework, supporting our events and guiding your children. And finally to our fantastic staff team, you have shown grit and determination, through Ofsted and beyond I cannot of asked any more of you.
Earlier this week Mrs Rice and Mrs Barker brought an end to our week celebrating the arts with a fantastic music and drama extravaganza. Each year I am astonished by the depth and quality of each individual performer, but more so how they work together as a team to deliver a show that held me captivated throughout. Some of the performers taking part would have been in every concert over the last 4 years; watching them grow and develop in such a way is one of the most rewarding parts of education.
Last night we celebrated all the many successes of our year 8 leavers, and whilst some won individual prizes all have succeeded in their time here at Ferndown Middle School. They have been a credit to the school, served as valued members of the community and made excellent progress throughout. We wish them every success as they move into year 9 and hope they will come back, say hello and tell us how they are getting on.
We hope you have a relaxing summer, full of joy and laughter. We anticipate all the opportunities that the next year will bring and cannot wait to seize them with you.
