Over the last few weeks, students in Year 7 and 8 have been designing and creating their ‘Dream Rooms’ using Computer Aided Design tools (CAD).

The response has been fantastic. The rooms have not only had the walls and furniture that you would expect. The dream room has developed into a dream suite, the dream home, and even to the little pied-à-terre complete with horse and stable and the odd sports car. What would you put in your dream room?

Well done on all those designs – it was fun seeing them. Now, the next challenge must be: can we make the homes real?

A suitable challenge next time will be to design and make the objects we design in 3D. Watch this space.
