Ferndown Middle School Open Evening
We are pleased to announce the date of our Open Evening for Year 5 entry in September 2024.
On Tuesday 26th September 2023, prospective parents and current Year 4 pupils are invited to Ferndown Middle to view the school, our facilities, and to meet staff and pupils at work. The evening will consist of a presentation in the school hall from Mrs G Allen, Headteacher, followed by an opportunity to tour the school. Parents can choose to attend the presentation at either 5.00 pm or 5.45pm.
There are also opportunities to visit during the school day on the following dates.
- Friday 29th September between 9.10 – 10.10
- Thursday 5th October between 9.10 – 10.10

Limited parking will be available in the school car park, if you are able to please either walk in or park in the area.
We are fully committed to ensuring that your child completes a smooth transition from first to middle school and believe that this evening will provide you with a valuable opportunity to gain an insight into middle school education.

You can apply for a middle school place from 1 September 2023. It is essential that parents complete the Dorset admission application form – Starting junior or middle school – Dorset Council by the deadline of 15 January 2024.
