Yesterday marked the one year point since the first UK lockdown. The day was commemorated with a National Day of Reflection.
Since the first lockdown, our country has been living under varied restrictions meaning that many of us – including children and young people – have had to adapt to new and different ways of living and for some it means they had to grieve without the comfort of having friends and family around them.
At Ferndown Middle, we used the National Day of Reflection to give us a time to unite as a school to remind ourselves of all of the things we have overcome, the challenges we have faced, to pay our respects to those who have lost their lives and to celebrate the brighter days to come.
