Year 7 Netball
Well done to our year 7 netball team, who played their final games of the season on Tuesday evening. Firstly, they faced Poole High, who took an early 1-0 lead. Despite their best efforts they were not able to equalise and frustratingly lost by just one goal. It really was a close game! Next up they played Broadstone Middle School who were very well organised. Ferndown gradually gained confidence but unfortunately lost 6-0. A huge well done to the girls for their wonderful effort and outstanding commitment to training this season. We look forward to seeing you on the court again next season.
Year 8 Netball
Congratulations to our year 8 netball team who have finished second in their netball league. This is a huge achievement for the girls who thoroughly deserve this success, having shown relentless commitment and dedication to training over the course of the season. Well done girls! We hope to hear of your continued success in netball as you move on to your new schools next year. Good luck!
Inclusion Sports Festival
On Wednesday the 14th March a group of our students were fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to attend an Inclusion Festival at Victoria School. The students were introduced to wheelchair basketball as well as bocce. This really was an exciting opportunity and one that all of the children really enjoyed. They were full of enthusiasm and worked really hard throughout the afternoon. They particularly enjoyed meeting some of the students from Victoria School and having the chance to see Mr Higgins. A special thank you to Mr Higgins for inviting Ferndown to this event and to Miss Demonte, Miss Bird and Mrs Sedgwick for accompanying our students. Well done to all involved.
